A remarkable commission with an international character. In 1995, the first commission was given for the creation of ten ambassadors chairs. What began as a small-scale project evolved into an impressive endeavor: in total, Tico crafted 37 new chairs. The final fifteen were completed in 2025. See also the news report from RTV Noord.
Over the years, the original project received several notable follow-ups. In 2009, a new commission was issued for five more chairs, followed by two in 2011 and another five in 2014. Each chair represents a different country, with the national coat of arms embroidered into the backrest. The chairs are placed in the Japanese Room.
